Postcard from Ireland: The Causeway Coast

I loved the Northern coast line! It was beautiful from the small towns like Portrush, with it’s sandy beach and surfers. To the ruins of Dunluce Castle perched on a cliff. And the unique coastline of Giant’s Causeway. It’s hard to pick just one. I only spent one day in the area, but I’m sure could have spent several in this area. Postcard from Ireland: Kells Priory, County Kilkenny

In September 2011, we visited Ireland on our honeymoon. Every place we went to was more beautiful than the next and the people in all parts of Ireland were simply amazing. Postcard from Ireland: Bee on the Aran Islands

This bitty bee photo-bombed my picture of the Aran Islands, and has been my pride and joy ever since! This was the most clear, beautiful day I could ever have hoped for. My husband and I walked up and down the Cliffs of Moher, loving the sun and the sea and the cattle not more than 20 feet...

Forty shades of green, the distant sight of the blue Atlantic ocean, and black-and-white cows. Mountains, whitewashed houses, and rolling fields bordered by stone walls and hedgerows. Bright sunlight on everything, but the grey clouds hint of the rain we’ll soon get – and will soon pass. That’s the Dingle...

Postcard from Ireland: Loher Stone Fort

In County Kerry just off the N70 between Caherdaniel and Waterville, overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay, stands the Loher Stone Fort. Had we not had a local friend for a guide we would never have known it even exists. It can be a bit tricky to locate but if you know what you are looking for it is worth the hunt! We found it much more interesting than Staigue Fort, besides being easier to get to, and free! As you can see, the day was...
