  2. Very lovely & worthy additions! Just visited Cahir last October. I was very impressed with the place. Well kept and preserved while retaining the medieval starkness. And the park behind was a gem too – complete with carvings in trees. I am often disappointed with castles so full of antiques and furnishings that I can’t imagine real life in them.

I’d also recommend the falconry show at Ailwee Caves. A nice show on a spectacular Burren hillside. A nice place with several attractions including cave tours and an awesome little cheese shop 🙂 Also a great, rural drive through the Burren to get there.
