Postcard from Ireland: Birds of Prey

birdsofprey

After a walking tour of the Burren in County Clare, we decided to stop into the Birds of Prey Centre. I have visited Aillwee Cave on several occasions but never the Bird Centre. I

t was very educational and interesting to see all the different type of raptors – most in their cages but the flying display was a not-to-be missed event.

We sat through the entire thing despite a good rain at one point in the demonstration. I took many photos of all the birds, but this is one of my favorites. I have a real soft spot for owls and this cheeky guy really seemed to want an up-close encounter as much as I did! His photobomb was the best!
