Artists Eye: The Quilt of Ireland

Conor Murphy loves the land and seascape of Ireland and some of life’s little pleasures. The Cork-born artist now lives in the U.S., but returns to his native land each year. Much of his work is in Impasto which is a technique that uses thick layers of paint. This style emphasizes the rich texture of the Irish landscape, especially the rugged West Coast of Ireland.
