Artists Eye: Heading Into Town

Heading Into Town by John O’Grady – www.johnogradypaintings.com
John O’Grady is an Irish artist living and working in France. His Irish landscapes represent places, times and moods experienced whilst living there.
When describing this oil painting on panel, John says, “The West of Ireland has big open skies, looking out onto the Atlantic. Small villages are dotted across the mountainous landscape and if you’re lucky you might chance upon one that has a pub serving some liquid refreshment!”

Hi Corey, the artist eye always makes me wonder, the same view evokes different responses,
thanks for the link, I’ll check it out,
Cheers,
Brian.
Hi Corey,
This painting has an impressive stormy sky. I like the way the light filters through the clouds to illuminate the fields, here and there, with a golden glow. The artist has really captured the colours of the landscape.
Kind regards,
Nathalie
