Dingle – Celtic Legend

I think video shows that even on an overcast day on the Dingle peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne in Irish)… and all of Ireland can still be gorgeous. I’m not sure why I’m finding so many Dingle videos lately… must just be a photogenic area ;)

Thanks to Eurodestination for the video.

  1. Many thanks for crediting my video on your excellent blog. I’ll toast you with my Guiness tonight.

  2. My favorite place in all of Ireland. Wonderful scenery and great trad! Wish I could go back tomorrow. Thank goodness it’s only 3 weeks until the Michigan Irish Music Festival!

  3. spent a week there in June ’11. Can’t wait to go back. How can I be so haunted by this place?

And the Great Blasket Island was amazing. Great music in the Dingle pubs too.

  4. I would rate the Dingle peninsula higher than the Ring Of Kerry. The drive alongside the Atlantic is breathtaking. Fungi the Dolphin is a huge tourist attraction in Dingle town, and Ryan’s Daughter was filmed near Dunquin I think, as was Far and Away with Tom Cruise. Don’t forget to stop in Ventry at Paidi O’Se’s pub. He’s a former Kerry footballer who won numerous All Ireland’s titles. His pub is full of all things GAA.

  5. this is beautiful – ireland is always beautiful, no matter what the weather. we miss it like crazy!
