Welcome to Ennis

Welcome to Ennis

Just spent the weekend in Ennis, County Clare. The Street Festival was on and this guy was making sure everyone was having a good time.

I’ll have plenty to blog about later, but for now, just know that Ennis is a fantastic place for boutique shopping, art, bookstores, antiques, cafes, history, restaurants and most of all Irish music. In fact, I just enjoyed an early session right in the dining room of my hostel.

Fortunately, it’s accessible by train and bus too, so it was the first stop on my tour this summer.

  1. My family went through Ennis during our trip back in 2008 and we LOVED it. Highly recommended!

  2. Thanks for that positive feedback on Ennis Corey. I’ve lived here for 32 years and I still love the town, and people who pass through love it because they say it’s a ‘real’ town rather than aimed at tourists. Ennis is a fantastic place to stay for day trips out to other parts of Clare and further afield as there’s direct access to the motorway……in fact it’s just a great place and our Ennis Traditional Festival is coming up in November, Book Festival in March, Street Festival in July and so many opthers things going on here and around this beautiful county.
    Reckon I like it somewhat!
