February 1 is the feast day of one of Ireland’s patron saints, Saint Brigid and it’s considered the beginning of spring for the Irish.

Thanks for once again teaching me more about the Irish and their culture!
St Brigid was born in County Louth in a quiet village named “Faughart” set upon a hill over looking Dundalk Bay about the year 454 A.D.
