A Wonderful Day for Celtic Music

Only ten days until Christmas, and we thought we’d celebrate with some music.

Marc Gunn Happy Songs of DeathMarc Gunn has offered up his Best of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast compilation CD and  Happy Songs of Death CD. Marc is a musician, podcaster and all-round nice guy.

If you haven’t check out his websites, you really must do that. www.celticmusicpodcast.com, www.marcgunn.com, www.celticchristmaspodcast.com

These two CDs are on their way to Jeff Rowland from Brunswick,  GA.

Anne Roos Haste to the WeddingAnne Roos has a copy of her Haste to the Wedding for a lucky Irish Firesider. Anne literally wrote the book on music for weddings, so her collection of Celtic Harp music combined with a beautiful book tell the story of everlasting love through the music. Trust me, this book and CD are gorgeous.

Visit Anne at www.celticharpmusic.com.

This CD is going to John Ongena from Orlando, FL.

Irish Tenors CDBridget and Russ Haggerty over at www.irishcultureandcustoms.com have offered an Irish Tenors Christmas CD and a Lucky Irish Coin.

Their website is basically an encyclopedia of great articles about all-things-Irish. No matter where you start on their site, you are sure to find a gem with every click. In Podcast #97, we highlighted our favorite Christmas-related articles.

These two items are going to Judy Arnold from Kingsville, TX.

  1. From another post, or maybe it someone else’s comment, I got read that Bells of Dublin was in the top 5 fave Irish Christmas cds. So I bought it! It is wonderful!!! I highly recommend it!

  2. Oh boy, Oh boy, oh boy!!!! I have the Home for Christmas Irish Tenors CD–another iteration of the Irish Tenors so this will round out my collection. Even if it doesn’t arrive by Christmas there will be another one next year…or so I’m told.

    Thank you! Thank you!

And I would never turn down good luck!

  3. Always loved the Bells of Dublin. Got to meet Matt Malloy at his pub in Westport last month as he joined in the session

  4. Makes me want to go pop one in the player right now and get into the Christmas mood!
