Irish Fest, Ulster American Folk Park, Bread & Butter Pudding and Farewell to Nova Scotia

Remember to visit www.irishfireside.com.

Liam’s back and we’re working on getting our podcasting groove back. This episode is a little different because we focus on Milwaukee Irish Fest for a good part of the podcast. If you’re going to be in town for Irish Fest, be sure to drop us a line at yesiree100@hotmail.com; we’d love to meet some of our listeners.

In this episode, we also talk about the Ulster American Folk Park near Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Liam shares his favorite Bread & Butter Pudding recipe, and he sings a tribute to the Irish of Nova Scotia.

For this episode we were invited to test out some of Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin’s new podcasting equipment. Our “experiment” shows that technology is only as good as the operator. We did a pretty good job of using this professional-grade equipment. We’re not sound techs, so we don’t have the settings just right and some of you will probably notice the parts that we had to re-record in a different location…the sound is a little different. Oh well, that’s the joy of podcasting.

We’re working on editing an episode on the Inishowen peninsula and hope to have that up soon.

That’s all for now…see you at Irish Fest.
